What's New in v1.212.0
This UI release is v1.183.0 through v1.212.0. The previous production UI was v1.182.0.
You get a business-trip planner on the dashboard, a payments screen for reimbursements after approval, and new screens for accounting connectors, spend policy, products, and gift setup. Mileage logs, spend-permission groups, and My Spend actions on many expenses are in this release too.
โ๏ธ Business trips
The dashboard Business Trip widget lists upcoming and recently created trips. Plan a Trip opens one screen, not a sequence of steps.
- The traveler list is there when the screen opens. Changing traveler shows a notice and does not push the form down.
- Route, budget, and details are separate sections. One section is open at a time.
- Stay at sits on the destination row. Changing the destination refreshes it. If the list fails, you get an unavailable state and a retry.
- A trip longer than 45 days shows a message on the form. That limit is on the screen only. There is no matching rule on the server yet.
- Budget lines edit inside the section. Currency and Add Category open there too, not in a separate popup. While a line is open, the rest of the form is locked. Enter saves the line. Esc cancels it. Cancel on a line you just added removes it.
- A category you remove after calculate can be added back with its original amount.
๐ธ Payments
Finance pays employee reimbursements from Payments Hub after approval. It replaces Employee Reimbursements. The screen uses the payout APIs you already have. There is no new payout service in this release.
- Three summaries: waiting on approval, ready to pay, and paid.
- Direct payment, payroll export, and completed history are separate stages.
- The side panel shows the payee, the payment steps, the expense batches, and receipt previews.
- Process, export, mark completed, and retry run on the rows you select.
๐ Accounting connectors
Connectors is a first version for NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Priority. You can add one, verify it, save it, test the connection, and delete it. QuickBooks still leaves Custodia to finish connect, then returns with a status. NetSuite can sync employees and suppliers from the detail panel. Other accounting systems are not on this screen.
Export to accounting from the new UI now calls the same export path as the old UI.
๐ Spend policy
Policy Hub is one screen for policy defaults, approval thresholds, buffer policy, spend-permission status, and spend profiles. You can search the tiles and drag them. The order is saved for you.
Edits stay as drafts until you save or cancel. Leaving the page or switching company warns you. Save writes an audit log entry. Spend profiles themselves are unchanged. This screen does not turn system profiles on or off.
Support can disable a spend module for a company from its tile. That control is for support. It revokes use of the module, then clears that moduleโs access, buffer, and approval thresholds. If the revoke fails, it stops.
๐ฅ Spend permissions by group
Spend Permissions can show Groups: one row per parent, with the participant count and the total budget. The list comes from the server. It does not page through every person.
Groups is unavailable on Pending and on Deleted. Pending is already one row per group. Deleted cannot be grouped.
The group panel is where you see the people and edit the shared amount. Someone viewing the company from outside can open a spend permission and cannot change it.
๐ Mileage
The mileage panel edits each leg in the card, shows the approval chain, shows reimbursement by leg, and exports one log to PDF.
A leg saves when you finish it, remove it, turn round trip off, or leave the purpose. Dates use your locale. The approval tab shows who submitted, each level, who approved or rejected, when, and any automatic policy decision. The old timeline on this screen often came back empty. This one uses the approval chain that loads.
Mileage amounts round the same way on the log and on a group spend permission.
โ My Spend, several at once
My Spend can select many expenses and run Status, Update, Assign To, or Message.
Status only offers what your role can do. Expenses run one at a time. A failure stays selected. Update includes subsidiary. Assign To sets a budget, or a spend permission looked up for each employee. Message sends one note to each owner. It skips exported expenses, declined expenses, and your own. Approved expenses are included only if you opt in.
Exported expenses show a lock. Clear Export is there when your company allows unlock.
๐ Sign-in methods on your profile
Passkeys, an authenticator app, SMS, and recovery codes are managed under Multifactor Authentication on your profile. Your company still chooses which methods are allowed. You cannot remove the last allowed method. Adding or removing one asks you to confirm again when the session is stale. How sign-in itself works is in v2026.25.0.
๐ท๏ธ Products
Products uses the same list and detail layout as Projects: search, add, edit, delete, import, and export. The screen does not show or filter product status. External ID stays hidden until it is turned on, and it is read-only in the details.
๐ Gift setup
This does not change how an employee receives a gift. Support, while viewing as the company, can set up the gift program from the existing Gifts screen: which brands are on, the two gift emails, and the provider, activity template, annual budget, and API credentials.
โจ Smoother day-to-day
- A long expense export stays in the header while it prepares, downloads, finishes, or fails. You can copy the request id or cancel it. Two exports can run at once. A third is blocked.
- Spend export can filter by posting date.
- Approval Queue warns when an approver role is missing.
- Menu configuration can export the selected menu and import one. Export is blocked while you have unsaved edits. Import shows what would be added or removed before you save. It does not change which company, role, or partner the menu belongs to.
- A regional controllerโs budget list includes budgets they own. That rule is the one in v2026.25.0. This is the new UI following it.
- Opening a saved card uses the card id stored on the card.
