Overview
Impersonation allows authorized administrators to access the Custodia platform as another user without needing that user’s credentials. This feature is used to troubleshoot issues, verify permissions, review user-specific configurations, and replicate the exact experience the employee sees in the app or web portal.
Only tenants & users with the appropriate administrative permissions can impersonate another account. All impersonation activity is logged for security and audit purposes.
Setup
In order to impersonate a user, your user profile must have the IMPERSONATOR role.
If you do not have this role reach out to your account administrator or send a ticket to support@custodia.ai.
Usage
To impersonate a user complete the following steps:
- Log in to https://my.custodia.ai
- Navigate to My Organization -> Org Structure -> Employees
- Search for the user you want to impersonate
- Mouse over the user and use the green hover menu to select the Impersonation Icon
- The screen will redirect to the users account
Notes
- To impersonate a different user you will need to log out and then log in again with your admin user.
