There are some situations where multiple activities may match a single expense. In these cases, Custodia will automatically assign the expense to the best-matched activity based on available logic and data. However, users can manually reclassify the expense to a different activity if needed.
Below are the available methods to reclassify an expense using the Mobile App and Web Dashboard.
📱 Reclassify from the Mobile App
From Organize Screen

Open the Custodia mobile app and log in.

Navigate to the Organize screen.

Swipe left to right on the expense you’d like to review.

Tap REVIEW when it appears.

Select the correct Activity from the list.

Tap Confirm to reassign the expense.
From Transactions

In the Custodia mobile app, go to:
Reports > Transactions

Find and tap on the expense you’d like to reclassify.

Tap the edit (pen) icon next to the current allocation.

Select the new Activity from the dropdown list.

Tap Confirm to complete the reclassification.
💻 Reclassify from the Web Dashboard

Visit my.custodia.ai in a web browser.

Log in using your company credentials.

In the top menu, go to:
Activity > Expenses

Locate the expense and use the green hover menu to click the edit (pen) icon.

On the edit screen, use the Activity dropdown menu to select the correct activity.

Click Save and Exit to apply the changes.
🔎 Please Note

Reclassification is only possible for expenses that have not been finalized or submitted for approval.
- Reclassification is only possible for expenses that match the activity type. (e.g. Restaurants -> Meals)

If the correct activity is not listed, confirm with your team that the activity is active and within the date range of the expense.

Always reclassify expenses as soon as possible to avoid reconciliation delays.
