Overview
The Benefits Utilization screen provides visibility into how employees are spending against their assigned benefit budgets. It allows Finance and Admin users to monitor usage trends, identify over-utilization, and review transaction activity by employee and benefit type within a selected period.
This screen is especially helpful for month-end reviews, budget oversight, and identifying exceptions that may require follow-up.
How to Access Benefits Utilization
Log in to the Custodia web application.
Navigate to: Finance & Accounting → Employee Benefits → Benefits Utilization
Filtering the Data
You can refine the results using the following filters:
- Month – Select a specific month to review benefit usage for that period.
- Type – Filter by benefit category or activity type.
- Search Box – Search by employee name or other identifying details.
Once filters are applied, the screen updates dynamically to display the relevant utilization data.
Available Data Fields
The Benefits Utilization screen includes the following attributes:
- Activity Type – The specific benefit category used by the employee.
- Employee – The employee’s full name.
- Employee ID – The internal employee identifier in Custodia.
- Amount Spent – The total amount spent during the selected month.
- Transactions Count – The number of benefit-related transactions recorded during the selected month.
- Daily Average – The average daily spend calculated across the selected month.
- Over Utilization – Any amount spent beyond the employee’s allocated benefit budget.
When to Use This Screen
You may want to use the Benefits Utilization screen to:
- Monitor monthly benefit consumption
- Identify employees exceeding their allocation
- Review benefit activity trends
- Support reconciliation or reporting processes
If you are managing multiple benefit types or large employee groups, this view gives you a structured and efficient way to maintain oversight.
