Overview
The Activity Sharing feature in Custodia allows you to allocate a portion of your approved activity budget to another employee. This is helpful when a project or expense needs to be split across team members, but you already have the approved spend permission.
When you share an activity:
- The shared amount is deducted from your available balance.
- The selected colleague receives their own spend permission for the allocated amount.
- The action can only be reversed by having your colleague share the funds back to you
Only approved activities with sharing feature available can be shared.
Share an Activity (Mobile App)
You can share an activity directly from the Custodia mobile application on iPhone or Android.
Step 1: Access the Activity
Log in to the Custodia mobile app.
From the Activity Plan screen, locate the activity you would like to share.
Swipe the activity tile to the right.
Step 2: Select a Colleague
On the Share Spend Permission screen, tap the green + icon in the bottom right corner.
Search for your colleague by typing their name in the search bar or select them from the list.
After selecting the colleague, tap Select in the top right corner.
Step 3: Define the Shared Amount
On the next screen:
Enter the Amount you would like to share (up to your remaining approved balance). Add any Details your colleague should see.
Important:
The shared amount will be deducted from your available activity budget. This action cannot be undone. You will not be able to reclaim the funds once confirmed.
Step 4: Confirm or Clear
You may:
Tap Clear Selection to cancel the action. Tap Confirm in the top right corner to complete the share.
Once confirmed, the activity tile updates automatically.
You will see:
The updated total remaining budget The amount shared The name of the colleague who received the allocation
Sharing with Multiple Users
You can repeat the same process to share the remaining balance with additional colleagues, provided funds are still available.
Each shared amount will reduce your remaining activity budget accordingly.
