Mapping employees to Cost Centers is done very easily with our Bulk Import Tool. This allows you to upload as many employees as you need to a multitude of teams with one easy upload.
Attached in this document you will see the import template that has all the required fields needed to get them uploaded. You will also see information populating the spreadsheet. These are just samples to give you an idea of how to fill in the spreadsheet. You have a complete license over the codes and names of them. They are just examples.
In this document, you will see a breakdown of what each column means.
member_email
- The work email address that's attached to the employee's account.
- It must be the email address connected to the account.
teamType
- For employees to be mapped to teams this section must be filled out as CostCenter
- It can be confusing since this is a Cost Center sheet. But the system will understand that you are uploading Cost Centers and not teams.
order
- A numerical value that denotes the hierarchy of the team.
- If the number in this section is 0 then it is the default Cost Center (employees can only have one default team).
- Any number values besides 0 (in the sample sheet we used 1) denotes that they are a part of the team but it is not their default Cost Center.
- The recommendation is to stick to 0 and 1 to keep this sheet as simple as possible.
team_name
- Again, the system will understand this is in regard to Cost Centers.
- The Cost Center must exist in the system already for the upload to go through.
- Multiple Cost Centers and multiple employees can be uploaded on this sheet.
