Overview
Notifications are how Custodia keeps you informed when you are not actively using the platform. When set up properly, they help you stay on top of spending, approvals, and account activity without creating unnecessary noise.
This guide explains the different types of notifications, when they are used, and how to manage them effectively.
Why Notifications Matter
Notifications are designed to keep you informed and in control. They help you:
- Stay aware of important activity (such as transactions or approvals)
- Take action quickly when needed
- Protect your account from unexpected or unauthorized activity
The goal is simple: deliver the right information at the right time, without overwhelming you.
Types of Notifications
1. Transactional Notifications
These are triggered by activity related to your account or company spend.
Examples:
- Card transactions (approved or declined)
- Expense submissions and updates
- Refunds processed
- Cards issued, locked, or terminated
2. Operational Notifications
Examples:
- Approval requests
- Missing receipt reminders
- Spend limit or policy alerts
Where to Find Notifications in Custodia
Custodia keeps all your notifications in one place so you can quickly see what is new and take action when needed. Here is where to find them across web and mobile.
Custodia Web
Viewing Notifications
- Click the bell icon in the top bar
- A panel will open on the right showing your notifications
- A small badge on the bell indicates unread items
Other Places You May See Notifications
Some tasks, like approvals or payment requests, may appear as pop-ups or task screens.
These are tied to specific actions, but the bell icon remains the main place to view all notifications.
