This guide explains how tenant admins can create and manage Merchant Groups in the dashboard. Merchant Groups allow you to combine multiple merchants into one logical cluster, which simplifies reporting, expense management, and oversight.
Merchant Groups Page Overview
The Merchant Groups page provides several functions for tenant admins:
Search Merchant Groups – quickly find an existing group by name.
Add a New Group – use the “+” button to create a new group.
Group Details Table – once groups are created, the table displays:
Merchant
Merchant ID
Master Merchant
Tax ID
Vendor ID
Vendor
At first, the table will be empty until you create your first group.
Creating a New Merchant Group
Click the “+” button on the page.
Enter the group name and assign merchants by their ID.
Add any additional details as needed (e.g., Vendor ID).
Save to confirm.
Editing an Existing Merchant Group
Use the search bar to locate the group.
Select the group and open its details.
Add or remove merchants, update IDs, or adjust other fields.
Save your changes.
Best Practices
Use clear and consistent naming for groups.
Group merchants logically (e.g., by service type, category, or vendor).
Regularly review and update groups to maintain accuracy.
